I am a writer. I write fantasy poetry and stories. I've posted the webnovel that my friend and I are writing together and once we have it up I'll post the webcomic that my friend is working on. I am also a conlanger and a language lover. I want to help the worlds population to be able to understand each other better.

I am Christian, but I enjoy fantasy and whenever I write fantasy I try and put Christian ideas in it. I am absent minded and often thing about things I could be writing when doing other things. I do National Novel Writing Month (oh! I should post that website too) every year and I try and get involved with writing groups in the area.

my favorite Worlds are: J.K. Rowling's World of Harry Potter, Robert Jordan's World of the Wheel of Time, My own world of Itania (is it illegal to have your own as a favorite?), I have others, but I cannot think of them right now with this head cold I have.

My favorite Windows are: books, anime, manga, and art of any kind.

Well then... I'll start reading your stuff when I get the free time :D

So far, I saw some typos and what-not, but I'm sure these are just drafts. If you'd like me to tell you want/where and comments, I wouldn't mind. But I'm not done yet (goes back to reading).

I should warn you... I'm easily entertained and tend to suspend disbelief a lot long than most people on even the craziest stuff... don't take my opinions to count TOO much ;-)

yeah, this is our rough draft, eventually we plan on publishing. Thanks though! and about comments, maybe on writing style (I'm still working on mine alot), plot flow, and maybe plot realism. thanks!

"I am Christian, but I enjoy fantasy"
nothing in the bible against fantasy, my step-mom is a minister ;-)

It's legal to have your own as a favourite, it's alright to think of yourself...for once in your life :-)

I like those windows, right on.

You have a good attitude, I predict that you'll go far with your writing if you decide that that's what you want to do.

I know that very well, I have friends who like fantasy too. I just have a habit of saying that.

a lot of people have that stance that Christianity is supposed to hold you back... *shrug*... it's helped me take my creativity further

I was turned off christianity, it has so many specifics in the bible,
my step Mom's a minister,

I believe in my own simplistic version.
1: Our minds can't comprehend what happens after we die and how it will be, therefore it's going to be one of the scariest and amazingly exciting things to do, to die.
2: Do good, as socrates said if you do evil then you will be surrounded by unhealthy people that will try to do evil to you. It makes sense.

I feel that Christianity takes too long to get across the main points:

1: Do good and only good
2: God is a concept we will never fully comprehend or be able to accurately label, while alive...possibly even after we die.

Is there anything to Christianity that can't be placed under the 2 points?
I believe in thsoe 2 points.

I think if christianity was simplified to a page of writing it would be more useful, the main body of the bible is these 2 simple points being demonstrated and exemplified.

I'd like to discuss this,
anyone that says you can't talk openly about religion needs a hug.

:-)

FOR THE RECORD: This is the only place and time so far I've felt like discussing this... because I hate soap boxes... but here's my shpeel:

For me... and most of my family... we only occasionally use the bible, and we adopt no denominations. Basically... when we wonder, we read the book and/or pray. Otherwise, it's just living with simplicity and love.

It's still mighty hard, but for us, following Christ isn't about anything other than what scrooge found out: People are your business. We don't go out and 'convert' people, either. We just live life praying for others and giving people hope, not verses or scriptures. When people ask us, we tell them about Jesus. Not the other way around.

That and we don't follow rules or believe in pickiness is godliness... nor do we expect to be perfect. For me, at least, it's not a religion at all. It's not being a 'Christian'. It is my reality... not my religion... and the world I believe in is also where I exist... that is the world inhabited by people and God. And I don't shy away from the concepts/existance of other worlds either.

The fact of the Bible, for me at least, is that it has a parallel for every tribulation you'll ever go through. That's what it's for... looking at other people and God and relating. You have to be able to relate to God because He wants to be right there with you every second of the day... He can't do that if you don't have any go-between. It keeps you connected that way. It won't do much more than that (at least for me). But the parallels are powerful, because the message is that we're heirs and redeemed and sent out to love and be filled with compassion: we live with passionate, desiring hearts and everything that's a 'sin' is really nothing more than a place where God wants us to work differently, not run away from.

My biggest issue with 'Christians' today is that they have an agenda, and they have a book of rules, and they have no sight for their humanity. I'm no exception, because every day I tend to try putting myself in a rut and making up laws and whatever else. It's just people being people. You want control, but sometimes it's the last thing you need. That and people many times miss the point that in this world, we're always children.

If I could do one thing, it would be to help you reach your dreams. Many people try to derail that these days... but when I got closer to God and really saw what the Bible is all about, it's about how the dreams of humans and God collide and create... it's how we come to terms and dream together. It's about overcoming the impossible every day, and that once you reach your dreams, you only find they grow and get bigger... they don't end. That's why heaven works out. And I don't care to think much further into my future than a week...

Oh! And don't get me started on heaven... I have no clue and I don't care. If I can just help someone with directions once a week, I'm in heaven.

Hi everybody!
I'm back from an extended holiday from SU, been bus getting myself some new intentions (I would really appreciate advice/help with them).

I'm currently studying animation (2 year course),
2D (and some 3D) learning how to draw anime style, etc.

At the same time I'm learning Java, it's a good start for creating games and eventually a massive online world (mmorpg)

To do the above I'll need a lot of money to do them propperly,
so I'm also studying business (from books/people) and running my own online auction business. I'm constantly thinking of new business ideas, my dreams motivate me to achieve them, money is simply an ingredient in my
'dream cake'.

If anyone's played a MMORPG, what did you really want it to have that it didn't have, what are some things that you would like to see in one ?

cheers
